It was part of the <a href=\"http:\/\/clarionwest.org\/website\/cat_readings.html\">Clarion West speculative fiction series of readings<\/a> this summer.<br \/>\nShe read half of a story about zombies, and an animal shelter where dogs are put to sleep, and Canadians, and strange pajamas, and working retail at a 7-11 type store that&#8217;s open 24\/7.
